Outrage sparked over a job posting by Virginia-based IT staffing company Arthur Grand Technologies on Indeed for a business analyst role, after the post stipulated that only US citizens who are white were eligible for the role. The offensive posting caused people to express their fury on LinkedIn.
In response to the uproar, Arthur Grand Technologies made a statement on their own LinkedIn page clarifying that the post was not authorized by the company and was instead a “manipulated” version of an existing job advertisement, drafted by a former employee who added the blatantly discriminatory language.
Fortunately, the firm took immediate action and worked to get the listing removed, but not before the situation exposed the concerning issue of racial discrimination in the hiring process.
