For the week ending May 20th, temporary staffing hours were down -8% year-over-year and up 1.1% on a week-over-week basis. Professional staffing hours were down -2% compared to the same week one year ago, while Commercial staffing hours were down -10%. The US Staffing indexed value, weighted to reflect the US staffing industry mix of professional and commercial jobs, was 96 for the week ending May 20th.
SIA projects a modest decline in commercial staffing and mixed trends in professional staffing in terms of market size for the full year 2023.
