There is some good news for job seekers! The Conference Board-Lightcast Help Wanted OnLine Index of job ads saw an increase of 1.3% between February and March, bringing the reading up to 170.1 (July 2018=100). This follows a 1.7% increase between January and February, indicating a positive trend in employment opportunities across the US.
Unfortunately, the index is still 7.3% lower than it was a year ago. However, the Conference Board, in collaboration with a labor market data and analysis provider Lightcast (formerly Emsi Burning Glass), is committed to staying up-to-date with the latest job vacancies. Every month, the index is collected from more than 50,000 online job domains.
