Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell released an advisory on Wednesday to healthcare staffing firms on permissible rates that may be charged to long-term care facilities in the state. According to Campbell, enforcement of such regulations is a key factor in making sure long-term care remains affordable for Massachusetts residents and their loved ones. “We cannot allow temporary nurse staffing agencies to exploit our state’s long-term care system, which is why we are sending a clear reminder that we are taking action to prevent any attempts to overcharge or confuse long-term care facilities in the Commonwealth,” Campbell said.
