Today’s release of the SIA | Bullhorn Staffing Indicator report has revealed an alarming statistic – temporary staffing hours worked in the US have dropped 10% year-on-year in the week ended April 22nd. An even bigger annual decline was seen in commercial staffing hours, which decreased by 13%, while professional staffing hours fell by 3%.

This worrying decrease in temporary help employment is consistent with the trend currently observed in the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ monthly Employment Situation reports.
