This Week in US Staffing: Commercial Staffing Trends Hold Stable While Professional Trends Weaken Slightly.

Released weekly, the SIA | Bullhorn Staffing Indicator measures temporary staffing hours worked for the week ending May 27th, down -9% compared to the corresponding week a year ago. Temporary staffing hours completed in commercial occupations (industrial and office/clerical) were down -11% year-over-year, while professional occupations (IT, healthcare, finance, engineering, etc.) were down -5% year-over-year.

On a week-over-week sequential basis, temporary staffing hours worked were down -0.6%. Commercial temporary staffing hours were stable (0%) while professional temporary staffing hours were down -2.2%.

The Professional Staffing indexed value was 133 for the week ending May 27th, while the Commercial Staffing indexed value was 80 and the US Staffing indexed value was 95.

Hours worked in the US staffing industry in the week ending May 27th decreased by -9% year-over-year, with Commercial staffing hours down -11% and Professional staffing hours down -5%. Over the past five weeks, hours worked in Commercial occupations fell by an average year-
