SIA’s sixth annual IT Staffing & Solutions Benchmarking Survey offers a comprehensive picture of the industry from the first half of 2023. Its 25 survey respondents reported a total of $4.3 billion in temporary IT staffing revenue and revealed trends related to bill rates, recruiting difficulty, and SOW engagements.
This report provides an in-depth look at bill rates for various IT occupations, the estimated average contract duration, the prevalence of VMS engagements, and the occupations most conducive to H-1B workers. Additionally, it contrasts results from the 1H23 survey with those from the 1H22 survey, showing a 4.5% decrease in volume and a 1.2% decrease in revenue. Revenue was highest in business/systems analyst (+11%) positions and lowest in help desk/PC support (-23%) and enterprise implementation/maintenance (-23%) occupations.
