The SIA | Bullhorn Staffing Indicator, released weekly, is a reliable source for measuring the weekly trends in the volume of temporary staffing provided by US staffing firms. This data is divided into two sets of analyses: a year-over-year comparison and an indexed value benchmarked against data from the week ending January 13th, 2019.
For the week ending January 27th, temporary staffing hours worked were down by 15% compared to the corresponding week in 2023. Commercial staffing hours were down 18%, while professional staffing hours were down by 8%. However, on a week-over-week basis, temporary staffing hours have increased by 4%. Commercial staffing hours have increased by 3.2%, and professional staffing hours have increased by 6.8%.
