The latest Pulse Survey of 172 staffing firms by Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA) found that staffing revenue fell by a median 3% year-over-year in February, reversing the 11% increase from the December survey. Financial/accounting, engineering/design, and IT staffing revenue rose, with locum tenens revenue increasing by a median 21%. Unfortunately, travel nurse and industrial revenue fell by a median 21% and 3% respectively. 27% of the participating firms reported laying off internal staff and 42% reported laying off temporary workers.
