Cognizant Technology Solutions Corp. has announced the departure of Rebecca “Becky” Schmitt from her role as the company’s Chief People Officer. In an internal email from Chief Executive, S Ravi Kumar, it was revealed that Kathy Diaz, senior VP of rewards and HR mergers and acquisitions, will be stepping into the role on an interim basis as the company looks for both internal and external candidates to replace Schmitt.
The Healthcare IT Leaders, meanwhile, have announced the hiring of Ben Hilmes as their new President. With 22-plus years in varied leadership roles at Cerner Corp., including senior VP – client relationships, Hilmes is well-poised to take on the new role, as founder Bob Bailey transitions the company’s day-to-day operations.
Executive search firm Raines International has also made an exciting new hire, with Joe Hartsig joining as a managing director to lead their retail practice in the Chicago office. Hartsig is a retail and consumer goods expert, having held many positions, including Chief Merchandising Officer at Bed Bath & Beyond and President of Harmon Stores.
