We have researched and reported on the staffing success of Allied Healthcare organizations in the US and have some key findings to share.

For our sample of survey respondents, total allied health temporary staffing revenue increased by 6.4% from 1H22 to 1H23, and hours billed increased by 13.7%.

The biggest revenue was in other allied health, respiratory therapists, Rad/MRI/CT tech, surgical technologists, clinical lab technician/medical technologist, and sonographer/ultrasound/cardio technologist.

We also saw an increase in managed service providers (MSPs) – up from 45.3% in 1H22 to 50.2% in 1H23. The MSP Global Landscape Summary report, published in November 2023, revealed that the adoption of MSPs by companies with more than 1,000 employees increased from 40% in 2009 to 62% in 2023.

We asked respondents to rate, on a scale of 1-5, how difficult it is to recruit workers for each occupation. Catheter lab technicians and speech therapists/pathologists scored a difficulty of 4.0 and 3.9 respectively. Clinical lab technicians and sonographer had a decreased difficulty score – from
