For the week ending August 26th, temporary staffing hours decreased year-over-year by -10%. Commercial staffing hours were down -11% while Professional staffing hours were down -9%. On a week-over-week sequential basis, temporary staffing hours worked increased 0.9%. Year-to-date, hours worked in Commercial occupations have decreased by an average year-over-year growth rate of -11%. Over the year 2022, the average year-over-year growth rate for Commercial staffing hours was -1%. For Professional occupations, hours have decreased by an average year-over-year growth rate of -7% year-to-date, with an average year-over-year growth rate of 12% over 2022. These decreases are roughly in line with the decline in temporary help employment as reported by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
