Staffing firms remain bullish on their future prospects for expanding their branch network over the next five years. Of the firms surveyed, 49% are planning to expand, while only 3% are planning to cut branches. The remaining 48% plan to keep branch levels about the same. Industrial staffing firms and IT staffing firms are particularly expansionist, while healthcare firms appear to be the least expansionist.
These findings are drawn from a survey of North American staffing companies conducted in August 2023. Specifically, respondents were asked to answer the question: “Over the next five years, do you think your firm will: 1) expand branches, 2) keep branches about the same, or 3) cut branches?”
